So, I havent decided yet if i am going to buy Wolf yet, I really want to just because i miss the old game but from the beta I am pretty scared. Is anyone else getting it? I may be more inclined if other people do.

we can see who the real wolfenstein fans are. I reserved my copy and as soon as i finish this post i'm going to go get it.
how is that even a question J , "yes or no" the answer is yes even if if the game blows......which it doesnt. and even if i go and pick it up and it is the crappiest peice of software i have ever installed on my computer i am still going to play it regardless because i haven't waited NINE FUCKING YEARS for nothing.....

yeah, TH pwns MD always, dont even try. So after playing it for about an hour here is my first thoughts.
There are technical issues with loading MP. My game crashes after every new map, and I have heard others having the same problem. The gameplay is.... I dont know, i feel like there was a lot of BS going on. I was getting killed behind walls like the hitboxes were lagging a lot behind the players. I spent most of the time in spawn because i was killed by 5 feet from the spawn. I dont really care for the unlocks that you have to buy because one team is racking up money because they are camping, the other team gets nothing so its just hard for there to be an even playing level. The veil powers............. what the fuck, honestly, I dont really get them, why you need them, etc. The whole game just feels odd to me. I know its only been one day, thats why I am not saying i am sad about it. I am just saying i hope they get a lot of good feedback and can grow from it. That said.

Also, having a 16 slot limit with only 12 player slots available with 4 spectator spots is a really good idea. I love going into a server and watching people. Great idea.

wow you bought it on the first day? shit ive been playin the beta nonstop in the 3 weeks it was out and i know im not buying until major shit is fixed with the mp. a promod is currently being worked on so who knows....might wind up ok but how long will it take until people dont care anymore and move on to MW2 in 2 months? this is obv another ET. cept with et they were smart enough (independent enough?) to just release it for free acknowledging a failed product. this game was obv pressed by activision to be out regardless of the final product.....and wow how much better is et than this game??? aaaaand the only reason et kept going so long is that it was free! of course im typing this as im currently dl'ing the game and hopefully a crack that works just to play single player to see how that is lol. still a wolf nerd through and through. but damn im glad that beta was leaked or i wouldve spent the $50 today on this shit game. i mean cmon...alpha sorting of pings?!?! give me a fucking break! http://www.udpviper.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17425#p271218worst case scenario it goes how etqw did...shitty sales, very limited comp play (2 seasons), and dead before a year. best case might be ET...enough of the wolf fanbase cares enough to make a good mod + id supports it with patches (endrant already laid off the whole fucking team pretty much but yet sokal says id will support it)... this 1.1 patch doesnt seem to fix much of consequence. i'm gonna wait and see how this promod works out before i commit most likely, unless it somehow becomes the bee's knees overnight and everyone is playing it. |
